Not Back to My Routine!

My studio is a mess!
It is -17 degrees outside!
This should have been the first day back to school after Christmas break, but my teen is home, all the schools are closed, and I'm going nowhere!

Good day to work, right?
Its already 10:15 and I'm having a little trouble getting into the groove.
 My studio is freezing.
Even with a space heater, my legs are so cold!
 LOL!

My Christmas dec's are still up. Its bugging me.
I bought all kinds of goodies to make vegetable stock-they are calling me!
I bought some organic chickens yesterday to roast in my new cast iron roaster that I got for Christmas-also calling me!
But I have a deadline!!!
Focus! Focus!
LOL!

I have a new doll completed for PFATT Marketplace on Friday.
I am working on some primitive heart bowl fillers.
And I REALLY want to drag out my rug hooking frame and wool, and do some hookin'!
Doesn't that sound cozy?

Scatterbrain! That is where I am on this Monday morning!
Where are you?

Blessings,
~Annie

Hope Everyone Had a Happy Happy!

I had a lovely New Year at my daughters house playing board games with the family. Hope yours was just as fun!
I'm getting ready to send this doll out to a customer.

My teen daughter's basketball team won their tournament-so that was really fun! Its always fun to be the team that dominates!

Yesterday my niece came to visit. She has been living in St. Petersburg Russia for the last year,  teaching English. She told us about all of her travels around Europe. It was fascinating to listen to, and of course has inspired my wanderlust!
Photo I took last June in beautiful Burano Italy
I really want to go to Croatia in the next year or so!

Ah! One can dream!

Blessings,
Annie

Updated Doll Gallery

Julia~oil painted doll SOLD

I have been going through a lot of my old files and updating my doll gallery. See the tab up there at the top? Just click on it if you would like to see. These are all dolls created in the last 8 years or so. I am still adding more pictures as I come across them. It is helpful to me to see my progression over the years. I have been inspired by some of the techniques I have done in the past, and definitely would like to go back and revisit some of them in 2014.

Hope you all have a safe and fun New Years Eve tonight, and a Happy New Years Day tomorrow!!

Blessings,
Annie

On the Work Table

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I had the Christmas Eve party at my house this year, which I thoroughly enjoyed. All but 1 of my kids are now over 21, so we had yummy White Russians made by Aidan. He works in a bar at college, and has the scoop on all kinds of drinks. Glad to know he's really getting that American college experience! LOL!

Lucas just graduated from Marquette University on December 12th, we are so proud of him. He now holds a BA in Computer Engineering and has been hired into a small company in Milwaukee.

This was our first Christmas with our beloved first grand daughter Amy.
The family is growing and expanding and it is a wonderful feeling to have them all home for the holidays.

The rest of the week I spent traveling back and forth to Isabel's basketball tournament which was about an hour away. She is a freshman this year but was asked to play in this JV tournament, so that was quite an honor. Especially as she is still working her way back from the ACL tear. No problems with the knee so far, so we thank God for that.

And whenever I can squeeze in a little time I am working on dolls and a new pattern I want to release in January.
Busy, busy, busy, and happy, happy, happy!!

Lily and Elizabeth Doll Patterns Retired

After much deliberation I have decided to retire 2 of my doll patterns, F~109 Elizabeth, and F~110 Lily.
This was a very tough decision, because these patterns continue to sell very well.
But the problem is that the hair I used to make both of their Civil War style hair-do's is no longer available.
So far, I have been unable to find a suitable substitute.
So I decided it is best to retire these patterns so that my customers don't become frustrated with this problem.

I hate to see these ladies go....
