Inspired by Sue Spargo

I belong to a wonderful quilt guild. It has almost 300 members and it is vibrant and active. We bring in national teachers every year, and there are tons of little quilt Bee's of every type, buzzing around all the time. Right now I only belong to one Bee-it is called Bee Woolie. It is a wool applique Bee, and let me tell you, the members are very talented!
We have been slowly working our way through Sue Spargo's stitch book:

If you are not familiar with Sue Spargo, run,...don't walk over to her website and FEAST YOUR EYES!
Seriously, she is some kind of EMBROIDERY GODDESS!
Anyhow, this month it was my turn to teach a stitch, so I "learned myself" the Van Dyke stitch!

I started a sampler to put all of my practiced stitches on. And I have to say, I'm obsessed with it! It is all I have worked on the last two days! Today I am driving to Designer's Desk to buy more fibers!! and I'm scouring the internet looking for more WOOL!
Here is my sampler so far:

SQUEEEE!!!
I am so inspired!
Some of the stitches used: buttonhole, pekinese stitch, crested chain stitch, fly stitch, whipped woven circle, threaded running stitch, Tete de Bouf stitch, pistil stitch, woven picot, and  French knots!

So then,
I found Sue Spargo's CLASS on Craftsy!!
Yippee!
I immediately signed up, and I'm sitting on my hands over here waiting for my luscious kit of supplies to arrive in the mail!!
This is the project:

Oh Lordy!
 Be still my heart!

Little Kitty Stitchery Pattern

Good morning friends!
Here is a companion piece to my free Little Bunny stitchery that was offered earlier in the week.
Isn't she cute!
I like her little leggies!
She is available for instant download here at my Craftsy Shop.

This is such a quick stitch-you can do it in 1 night! The design measures about 5" by 3", so it's perfect size to put on little handmades for baby-a little bag, or bib or burp cloth!
 The sky is the limit!
I think I'm going to put it on a little puse I'm making for Amy. She loves putting things in and taking them out!
Don't you just love babies?

Blessings,
~Annie

Patch-a-Boo! on Etsy and Craftsy

Good morning!
How are you today?
I'm doing great, the weather has taken a tiny bit of a cooler turn, and I can feel Autumn in the air.
I am definitely more of a cool weather gal, even though I love spending time out of doors all summer, gardening and what not.

To celebrate the promise of cooler days to come,
I have re-released all the patterns for my Halloween Quilt
Patch-a-Boo! on Etsy, and Craftsy.

The finishing pattern, which includes how to trim the blocks and put the quilt together is a FREE download at Craftsy!

I get to spend the later part of my morning with my sweet little grand daughter Amy Ren.
Her mommy and I are taking her to the local library where there is a sweet little play-place perfect for little ones her size. And then we are going to our local Farmers Market to buy yummy home-grown fruits and vegetables! So I am looking forward to a lovely day!
This is Amy wearing a toadstool hat and trying to put a tiny doll shoe on her foot!

She's a serious little one, who is all about her business!
 LOL!
 I just adore her!

Have a wonderful stitchy day!
Blessings,
~Annie

Hey! Guess what...

I am a guest blogger on Jenny of Elefantz!!!

I am so excited and honored to be asked by Jenny, I have admired her work for several years now and am an avid reader of her blog:

I created a new little stitchery as a FREE GIVE AWAY on Jenny's blog, so make sure you pop on over to check it out and download the free pattern.
AND THAT"S NOT ALL!

I also did a tutorial on how to frame a stitchery inside a hoop for hanging!
You can also see THAT on Jenny's blog!

I hope you like it!!

Blessings,
~Annie
