A little more Fairy Flora
I got a little bit of time over the weekend to work on Fairy Flora. Wish I could work on it some more, but I have so much work to do at present. Ah well, I'm happy with what I've gotten done so far.

More stashing!
I don't know why! I am overwhelmed right now by deadlines and back to school duties(already!). Isabel has started cheerleading for the fall which is 3 nights a week, so at least there is lots of stitching time.
I have recently purchased some Lavender and Lace charts from ebay, and got just a few more stitches in on Fairy Flora last night. Here are the charts I purchased. The top is called Emma's Garden, and the next is Nantucket Rose.
I am thinking of doing Angel of Spring for my mother-who's decor is really victorian. This design would fit into her decor so well and I know she would absolutely love it! OK, I've talked myself into it! Ha! Ha!

Scary News~Minnesota bridge collapse
My sister called this morning to tell me she and her family are OK. They live in Minneapolis and cross the 35W bridge every day. I had not heard what happened as I was so busy yesterday I didn't even turn on the news, so I didn't even know what she was talking about. This is probably good, or I would have been very worried.
I have since watched the coverage and I am so shocked! I cannot believe only 4 are dead, and it seems obvious to me they will be pulling more dead bodies out of the river. My BIL said he was wondering about the construction only last week because they had stripped off ALL layers of concrete on the bridge and were all the way down to the platform. Not that he had ever envisioned anything like this, but he did think it was weird. Could it have weakened the bridge? I don't know.
I had to turn the coverage off, as I am a sensitive person and it was really getting to me. It is just so horrible! All the people of the twin cities are in my prayers...

Scissors Fobs at Etsy!
I have had lots of fun lately making scissors fobs! I started with a few leftover charms from Isabel's Vacation Bible School, where they made little fobs to hang from their backpacks. Next thing I know I'm in the bead section at the craft store and adding lots of pretty little beads to my collection! I have a few for sale at Etsy, take a look if you are interested! I have lots more coming cuz this is almost as addicting as cross stitch!!

Fairy Flora update
I worked on Fairy Flora last night and got some more of the side leaves done. I can't believe how addicting it is! The top picture is my messy studio. Elinor is my latest folk doll. She is getting ready to go to her new home this week as her auction closes on Ebay tonight.

Fairy Flora
Look what Nicole started!!
After viewing her progress on Queen Anne's Lace, I started looking at Lavender and Lace designs, Mirabilia, and one I've never heard of before Passione Ricomo. I actually ordered a new Mirabilia design called Shimmering Mermaid to stitch for my DD Chelsea-who loves mermaids and fantasy designs.
Then I went into the WIP archives and pulled out Fairy Flora yesterday. I actually located the threads and beads much to my surprise! I started this design probably around 1996! I had a great time working on it yesterday. Isabel went crazy when she saw it! She had never seen this kind of stitching before. She said," Mom this is the best stitching you've ever done!" I started this design before she was even born! Ha! HA!' Hope I can finish it before she goes to college!!
