The Embroideress by Examplerary

I have been busy charting my next design, so meanwhile I have time to stitch for pleasure. I have been working on Joanne Harvey's The Embroideress. This is an old chart from the 80's that I have always loved. I bought the kit a few years ago and finally decided to start it as my one and only "stitch May-nia" start for 2017.

In other news, my youngest graduated high school! Wow! I cant believe my kids are now all out of school! We have had kids in school since 1992-so it has been a long haul. They all went to parochial schools, so we won't miss that tuition either! LOL!

Here she is with the son of one of my best friends. They have been in school together since 2nd grade!

It was bittersweet having her graduate without my dear brother there. If he hadn't passed away in 2015, he would have been leading the ceremony as he was the superintendent of her high school.
Here she is with our close family friend we jokingly call our family priest!
His presence always makes these bittersweet occasions better for us!

Here she is with her best friend.
So proud of them both!

XOXO,
Annie

Count Your Blessings Charting Error

Hello folks!

I have just discovered a charting error on NW-25 Count Your Blessings

Dang it!

Anyways, if you happen to get one of the charts with these symbols:

! should be: 0     Cidermill Brown
"  should be:  #        Old Blue Paint

*All of the white double diamonds should be the color " Old Blue Paint" by GAST. All of the black double diamonds should be "Cidermill Brown" by GAST.

**on some formats the double diamond symbols do not appear correctly. If you don't see the black and white double diamond symbols on the correction, please refer to the written explanation above.

And the chart says that Cinnabar is a Gentle Arts color (GAST), when it is actually a Weeks color (WDW).

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you!

Thank you so much!
Annie

Spring Bunny Freebie

We are really pining for spring around here. Our new grand daughter was born on the first day of spring, but it has been dreary and cold and rainy every day this week. I keep looking out at the backyard and longing for sunshine to come out and dry up all the mud. I cant wait to get out there and start planting!

We will be bringing home new chicks pretty soon, I plan to try Rhode Island Reds this year. Its always so much fun to get the new babies, and watch how fast they grow.

On the needlework front, it has been 6 months since I picked my needle up again after a 3 year break. Since then I have about a little less than a dozen finishes, and I have published 4 new patterns!
To celebrate, I have designed a little spring bunny pattern for you!
Thank you all so much for your support and kind words, especially on Instagram!
I hope you enjoy this little stitch!

New Cross Stitch Chart! Heart In Hand Emblem!

Heart In Hand Emblem
97w X 67h
Model stitched on 28ct. Twilight Blue linen from Wichelt, 2 over 2.
Finished pinkeep approx. 8'"X 5 1/2".

Dear friends,
This little pinkeep is proof that no matter what is happening in life, you can still cross stitch! LOL! My daughter stitched this for me while on semi-bedrest for the last 6 weeks of her pregnancy, but still caring for a 3 year old and an 18 month old! I have been on gramma duty all that time and loving it!
But I confess, I'm not as young as I used to be so I am glad to get my life back!
Here is the wonderful reward:

Baby Mei
March 21,2017
8 lb.11 oz.

And here are the girls meeting their baby sister:

Amy Ren is 3, Hideko is 19 months, and that is my wonderful son-in-law Bo. Love that guy so much! They are a such a sweet little family.

Amy Ren and Baby Mei

Could.you.die.

Have a wonderful weekend friends, and I hope you gets lots of time to stitch!

XOXO,
Annie

New patterns coming soon!

I've been working away on some new pattern releases,
hopefully for the end of March and then another one in April.

My daughter is having a baby in a couple of days, and for the last several weeks she has been on bedrest for a condition with her pulse.
She has two little ones, Amy is 3 and Hideko is 1 1/2, so I have been at her house almost every day on mommy/nee-nee duty!
It has been wonderful!
I am having so much fun with the girls!
But, there hasn't been a lot of time for my business.
So now she has an induction date of March 18, and I will be getting back to my regular schedule. Through all of this I have tried to keep up with my pattern models. One is done and just needs to be fully finished, and I am working on the other one,
 its almost there.
So exciting!

I don't work on Sundays, as I try to keep that day for the Lord and family. If I do cross stitch, I work on personal projects, not pattern models. So i have gotten a little bit done on Houses of Hawk Run Hollow:

I'm on the 5th block, second row. I would dearly love to finish this in 2017. This is one of my oldest WIPS.

I also started working on A & E by With Thy Needle and Thread. I just love this one and I think it will go quickly.

So that's my update!
Hopefully the next time I post we will have a new little granddaughter who is happy and healthy!

Keep stitching!
XOXO,
~Annie
