My little paintings on TDIPT

This is my watercolor painting called Tea for Two. I took a little online workshop given by Gritty Jane (which you can check out for yourself  here, listed under the tab artsy tutorials) on how to mount prints to wood. It was very helpful and informative. I did not make prints of my work but mounted the actual watercolor to wood. I also mounted a piece of scrapbooking paper first. It all went off swimmingly, and I am thrilled with the results. the pictures just don't do this piece justice, I wish you could see how awesome it looks in real life.
My next piece is called Miss Hattie Byrde. This is a Jane Austen inspired little portrait, also done in watercolor and pen and ink. I mounted it with the same technique. So fun! I will definitely be mounting more of my paintings to wood with this technique in the future. Check out more information about these pieces, as well as a little story about Hattie and The Fisher Cat on TDIPT this month.

Fisher cat and lilacs

Our lilacs are in full bloom these days! I love lilacs, they smell so wonderful! I couldn't resist bringing some in to scent the house!

Here is a sneak peek at my cat for this months TDIPT. I hope I can get him done-I'm so distracted by the gardening!LOL!

Spring is finally budding all over!

My back yard cherry tree and some wild tulips growing randomly!!! Also a pic of my future garden! This is only the first initial dig. We have to clean it out yet and begin adding manure for the deep bed technique we are trying this year. I'm so excited to get going on this project!!

More sketchy fun!

I am working on some cat ideas for a new doll. Also the idea of doing Alice in Wonderland, but putting her in other colors besides blue. I'm not sure I'm going to do an Alice, just playing with the idea. Here is a cat doll in the works:
