New Project sneak peek!

This is an original quilt I am working on. It features LOTS of stitchery, as you can see. I am hoping to have it finished in time to put in my quilt guild's quilt show, which is this September.

I am really excited about this project. It is one of those that has just been flowing out of me. It's the best when that happens!

Blessings,
Annie

Taking a short break...

To work on an ABC quilt for my little grand daughter Amy.

I love stitchery and appliqué together, don't you?
This is a block of the month by my sweet friend Jenny of Elefantz.
I love her patterns, they are always super quick.
We are having a crazy day of rain, thunderstorms, fog and sleet. So I am happy to be home and cozy, stitching with cheerful fabrics and threads!

Blessings,
Annie

Thoughts turning to Spring!

After yet another snowstorm in the Chicago-land area on Monday,
today we have lovely spring-like weather!
The sun is shining!
Everything is beginning to melt.
People are cheerful!
Its such a relief!

Wool Felt Applique Pincushions~Coming Soon!

And I am realizing how much the weather,
and time of year, influence my color choices!
Punch Needle Design coming soon!

I started this cute punch needle sheep in the dead of winter.
When the weather is snowy, primitive colors always make me feel cozy and warm.

But then spring hits, and like clockwork,
I want cheerful pastels and shabby chic-ness!!
It happens every year!

Do your color choices change with the seasons, or are you primitive all year?
 Or country all year?
Or shabby chic always!
I always wonder, is it just me?

Blessings,
~Annie
